Apart from being one of the most important foods for human nutrition, milk has many socio-economic impacts on society.
There is not a shadow of a doubt that milk is filled with essential nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fat.
These nutrients not only are beneficial for human body but also drinking milk can promote heart health. It is quite evident that milk has a miracle formula.
Beyond these nutritional richness, milk and dairy products has quite important role with the perspective of wealth and prosperity for any society. A sustainable dairy business in both farm and industrial level can create different engaged business spaces. While up to one billion people are living on dairy farms, there are more than meets the eye if we look from the viewpoint of all value chain of dairy sector and other dairy-related activities. In this respect, dairying plays a major role within the context of economic growth in many communities, regions and countries across the globe. Milk and dairy products can not solely placed into nutritional diet for people or simply delimited its sectoral components. There are much more value at the back of the stage for our life. For all these reasons, World Dairy Summit under the theme of “Milk for Life” could cover all dairy-related topics such as food safety, sustainability farm management and environment; notably nutrition, dairy policies and economics and its impact on economic and rural development.
With the theme of “Milk for Life”, more than 2.000 dairy professionals from all over the World would be gathering in Istanbul, a bridge that connects east and west, the tradition and modern. It is our pleasure to welcome all the partners in the sector to the country where goat and sheep were initially domesticated, the homeland to wheat and barley and to the city where continents touch upon each other gloriously.
